WeCruiseToo
We’ve sailed on: Allure of the Seas Freedom of the Seas Liberty of the Seas Adventure of the Seas Mariner of the Seas Navigator of the Seas Radiance of the Seas Majesty of the Seas (two times) Sovereign of the Seas (three times) You can’t tell from this list, but the Radiance-class is actually our favorite Royal Caribbean design. I guess this shows that we rarely pick our cruises based only on the ship we’ll be sailing aboard… Swath

WeCruiseToo
You’re right – one of the considerations when designing a ship (cruise or otherwise) is always if it will be able to fit through the Panama Canal. The maximum size a ship can be and still fit is called Panamax. Royal Caribbean’s Radiance-class ships were designed with this in mind and they fill the current canal locks to within inches of what’s allowed!
