crazy4disney
There's a Schlitterbahn on Galveston now? When I lived in Texas, there was only the one in the New Braunfels area. Oh it's amazing... it's the world's first convertible waterpark -- it has retractable panels over a good chunk of it (including one of the lazy rivers!) that they close during the winter season and enables the place to be open year-round. Water's heated, air's heated, it's just awesome. Love it there!! -gina-
Jan115
Boston - because it's less than an hour away ~ and Dover, England, which probably had something to do with just one ship in port and the ship was tiny (680 px) - we walked in, registered and walked on the ship. No waiting around!
Eph60
Vancouver British Columbia would be my favorite embarkation port. To me it is very organised and an extremely beautiful city to be in and to see from the deck of a ship as you leave or enter.
WeCruiseToo
Our favorite embarkation port? That’s easy – wherever our next cruise is departing from! Most convenient = Port Canaveral, just 45 minutes away. Easiest to fly into = Vancouver, super-smooth customs at both the airport and cruise port. Nicest surprise = San Juan, Puerto Rico – we’ve found that it’s far easier, takes about the same time and doesn’t cost much more for us to fly there as opposed to driving to Miami. Plus you can get some really awesome itineraries! Sarge6870
Karen55
We've been out of New Orleans, LA, Port Canaveral, FL, and Jacksonville, FL... I like New Orleans ... very organized and the people make waiting fun...
