DennaBeana
I have heard that the cruise lines will offer deals if you book your next cruise while you are on a cruise. Is that true?
Jan115
Absolutely! We do it all the time. Most ships have some type of "future cruise desk" aboard. For example, on Princess, while on a cruise, you can visit the future cruise consultant and put down a deposit - $100 per person. You don't even need to book a cruise then and there. You have four years to book. When you're ready to book, the $100/pp serves as your deposit. And as a reward for booking, you're given a future cruise credit - from $25 for an inside cabin, up to $150 or so for a suite. You have nothing to lose - if you don't use it, you'll receive a refund of your deposit. Hope this helps! DennaBeana
DennaBeana
That is good to know, pretty much what I thought. This will be my husbands first cruise and I am REALLY hoping that he'll love it as much as I do. :D Jan115 and coloradocruisers
WeCruiseToo
We always do the book on board if the cruise line lets you do it as an open booking. (Sometimes you can only do it if you pick a specific cruise and we’re usually not ready to do that.) If you used a Travel Agent for your current cruise make sure to let the book on board rep know – then your TA will get notified and be able to keep track of it and help you with the details. It’s a fantastic perk and most of them never expire – we have them already purchased from a few cruise lines right now! DennaBeana
DebbieandJerry
One of the most exciting things that we do is look for the next cruise while on the current cruise. I always check the prices to make sure that I'm getting the best (or the most) which is usually ship board credit.
DebbieandJerry
Forgot to add, it's not a sales pitch or any type of pressure to purchase. Most ships have a kiosk/desk and a person stationed there a certain amount of hours a day. The other time, we just use the computer and surf the information. We always ask the staff and crew what other ships they have been on and other cruises and how it compares to this ship or this cruise. We have found that they are incredibly honest! coloradocruisers
