Jan115
Oceania's "Around the World in 180 Days" cruise, open for reservations on July 17, 2013 - With stops at 89 ports. Wow! If only .... but I guess a girl can dream! :biggrin:Unfortunatley, I don't have the time or money for this one, but I do certainly LOVE the cover art of their brochure!!!! coloradocruisers
I'm with you Jan. Still trying to figure out the little floating things though. Kind of look like sails???
RayColey
Jan, we took a family cruise back in '98 on Renaissance going to Greece and Turkey. Oceania has since bought most of the fleet of Renaissance - we're dying to climb back aboard one of those smaller ships, and we're looking closely at one of their Black Sea cruises... Jan115
I'm with you Jan. Still trying to figure out the little floating things though. Kind of look like sails??? Yes, my untrained eyes tell me those are full-blown sails, as if to portray that small-ship experience, like Windstar. Then, of course, what do I know ... Ray, after our cruise on the 680-passenger Ocean Princess last year (a former Renaissance ship), I decided I really like those small ships. No lines, easier to get around, and you become buddies with your fellow passengers. Unfortunately, I can't convince David to try another. He referred to it as "the rowboat". That was also the first cruise for my brother and his wife. They are coming with us to Alaska on the Grand Princess, and I have to remind them it's not going to be the country club cruise they experienced last summer. WeCruiseToo
Found this on the Oceania website: “…feature two-for-one cruise fares, free FIRST CLASS round-trip airfare and free pre-paid gratuities. Additionally, guests will receive a free visa package including entry visas for 16 countries, unlimited Internet and laundry service, luggage delivery, round-trip transfers and free onboard medical service…” And the itinerary is really amazing: “This extraordinary once-in-a-lifetime voyage visits five continents, 44 countries and 89 ports of call and will feature 11 overnight calls plus 4 two-night calls in Cape Town, South Africa; Yangon, Myanmar (Burma); Singapore, Singapore; and Shanghai, China. Insignia's 180-day journey begins by visiting boutique ports in the Caribbean then steers south to South America and east to Africa before heading to India, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and Hawaii before returning via the Panama Canal to Miami on July 8, 2015.” It looks like pricing starts at $39,999 per person, but she doesn’t sail until January 10, 2015, so there’s time to save up!
