NCL's new partnership with the New York Knicks

Norwegian Cruise Line, which recently announced a partnership with the Miami Dolphins, said Wednesday is it also the “official cruise line” of the New York Knicks basketball team.

As part of the marketing partnership, Miami-based Norwegian will sponsor promotions during some home games at Madison Square Garden and will be featured on some marquees outside the venue as well as on the multimedia display inside.

The cruise line introduced its most recent ship, Norwegian Breakaway, in May in its home port of New York City.

Early next year, the operator will launch Norwegian Getaway in Miami, where it will sail year-round. The Miami Dolphins have been selected as godmothers for the Getaway, and the cruise line said earlier this month it is also sponsoring the team. That deal includes promotional activity and signs at Sun Life Stadium and cruise giveaways to members of the military.
