Sarge6870
We sailed the Jewel of the Seas on our first RCCL cruise May of 2013. We weren't impressed or "Wow"'d. Then we sailed the Brilliance of the Seas November 2013. Much better but still didn't get the "WOW" we expected from RCCL. So this will be our last try with RCCL for our December cruise aboard the Enchantment of the Seas with a bunch of friends we met on our Brilliance cruise. After nine previous cruises (prior to the RCCL cruises) aboard Carnival, Celebrity, Norwegian and Princess, we were hoping that RCCL would give us that "WOW" factor they advertise. To this point, they haven't. This will be their final chance. Got a great deal for a five day from Canaveral......hope they "WOW" me this time......... jacketwatch
Good luck. That "wow"experience might be waiting for you on a different ship like the Voyager or the Freedom class. Those are nicer ships. Have a great time Sarge.

WeCruiseToo
Hi Tim! Let’s see: cruise, bunch of friends, great deal – sounds like the recipe for a wonderful time! As for the wow factor, Larry might be right. We love the Radiance Class ships (like your first two Royal Caribbean cruises) but the ships people rave about are all far newer. Since 1999 Royal Caribbean has put out five Voyager Class ships, three Freedom Class ships, two Oasis Class ships (more coming) and now the newest Quantum Class ships. That’s a whole lotta cruise line evolution you haven’t experienced. The first thing that jumps to mind is all of those ships have an ice rink – and some of the most amazing shows we’ve seen have taken place there. Hopefully food quality and service are consistent across the fleet (in reality we know that’s rarely true) but the entertainment and amenities that really wow a lot of Royal Caribbean cruisers just don’t exist on the older ships. Absolutely cruise on the line that fits you best, but keep your eyes open for a great deal on one of those newer ships (I know they can be harder to find) – it may turn out to be your next favorite cruise! Happy cruising!
