Sam1
Hi, is anyone interested in a weekend cruise getaway? Being single and getting punished with double charge is a double stab. Let me know

Jan115
Hi Sam, Did you try Norwegian? Their single fares are more solo-cruiser friendly. Especially the new, bigger ships, like Epic, Breakaway and Getaway, because they have "studio" cabins especially designed for solo cruisers. Shari2
Jan...that's really interesting. I didn't know that. My very first cruise was on the older ship the "TSS Carnivale." Back then they had single rooms. I went with my parents, but had my own single room. Think I paid somewhere around $700 back then. It was pretty small...kind of like a big walk in closet. LOL Glad to see that a cruise line is thinking of making it easier for singles to cruise now. Jan115
Jan115
Yes, Shari, that's a big plus for those like me who keep threatening to cruise without our husbands because they don't want to cruise when we do! Seriously, though, I hope more cruise lines will be thinking in terms of the solo passenger. It really isn't fare to charge double the rate if you want or choose to cruise alone.
