Help me to choose a hotel in Vancouver

Not our first cruising but not familiar with it too. We are cruising to Alaska on the princess in June and want to stay a day in Vancouver. I want your help in choosing a good hotel for our 1-day stay at Vancouver. We are looking for a hotel that shuttles services to the ships dock. That is not a priority, however, we prefer one with such facility.

I have found a suite at UBC that offer budget rooms for rent  with exquisite landscape and beautiful scenery of pine and mountains. I wish to stay there, however, I don’t know much about their services. Has anyone here know about them or their services? Any idea?? Would they provide shuttle services to the dork? Any info on this is appreciated.
