Shari, it begins in Basel, Switzerland and ends in Amsterdam, with various stops through Germany. My brother and his wife booked it, so I thought I would tag along with my daughter since David has no interest in river cruising. ?

Jan, what a great adventure that will be, and so nice to have time to spend alone with your daughter.  The beginning of October should also be a great time to go.  Have a wonderful cruise/time.

Looks like a great river cruise. I'm sure you will have a wonderful time. Very different from a large cruise ship but that is part of what I think makes river cruises nice. More laid back, personal,  and free flowing vs.  a big cruise ship.
