Our 10 day Journey Cruise on the Carnival Fantasy Sept 17 to 27, 2018 included passage thru the canal into the lake for about 3 hours and then back thru.

About 1 hour each way.

An hour?  That's it??  Wow!  Impressive how it's that quick.  Years back visited the main locks while in town on a cruise, but I would imagine sailing through them is a much more exciting experience.  Thanks for sharing
