Jason
You'll soon be able to cruise regularly to Cuba from New York City. Cruise giant Carnival on Tuesday said two of its vessels would sail to the island nation out of the Big Apple starting in 2020. The voyages will take place on the soon-to-be-revamped Carnival Triumph and Carnival Victory, which will be sailing under the names Carnival Sunrise and Carnival Radiance by the time the trips begin. The ships are undergoing makeovers so big the line plans to rechristen them with new names. The only other voyages to Cuba from New York now on ship schedules are a one-time sailing of Oceania Cruises' Insignia set for early 2019 and a one-time sailing on Regent Seven Seas Cruises' Seven Seas Navigator planned for late 2020. The former is a segment of an extended voyage to Australia that ends in Los Angeles; the latter a repositioning voyage to Miami. Neither is round-trip from New York. Carnival said Sunrise will operate eight nine-day voyages to Cuba starting on May 21, 2020. The trips will feature a full-day and overnight call in Havana along with stops at the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas. Radiance will operate nine-day sailings to Cuba over the summer of 2020 that include a full-day and overnight stay in Havana and two Bahamian calls. Both Sunrise and Radiance also will sail several voyages to Bermuda out of New York in 2020, Carnival announced. Radiance also will operate voyages out of New York to New England and Canada. Radiance will be arriving in New York soon after its overhaul, which is taking place at a shipyard in Spain. The vessel will emerge from the shipyard in late April 2020 and sail several Mediterranean voyages out of Barcelona before repositioning to New York. Carnival on Tuesday also announced Radiance would reposition to Norfolk, Virginia, in October 2020 for a series of five- to seven-day voyages to the Bahamas and Caribbean. The trips will include Carnival's first sailings to Cuba from Norfolk. Radiance will continue to Port Canaveral, Florida, in November 2020 for a winter schedule of six- to eight-day voyages to the Caribbean. Cuba also will be featured on some of those trips. Sunrise will remain in New York until October 2020, when it will reposition to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Shari2
Interesting that the "Carnival Triumph" and the "Victory " are getting such big makeovers that they will be rechristened with new names. Should be interesting sailing from NY to Cuba, and from Norfolk, Virginia to Cuba.

I’d love to see Cuba, and the likelihood of my actually getting there has increased now that there will be sailings from NYC.? zebra
Two friends of mine went to Cuba a month or so ago and they could not stop talking about the toilets with no toilet seats and no toilet paper ever available. Note to self ... go prepared!!
