I'm going with a group to Alaska next year. I'm a warm-weather climate cruiser so Alaska is a tough sell. I'm still not happy about having to pack a parka to go on a cruise in August. But with a full day in glorious Glacier Bay I'm already getting excited for the trip -- and it's more than a year away. I love to lay out on the sundeck so I will probably spend more time in the hot tub on this trip.

Just did that trip on the same ship in June. It was in a word -- spectacular. The upgrades they finished to the ship this spring make it like a new and much better ship. The food was mediocre (eat in the restaurants not the dining room) but the cruise was really wonderful. We had two days of sunshine in Bermuda and that was fantastic. It just rained the last day in Bermuda and first day after leaving Bermuda. The rest of the time it was gorgeous. You'll love it.
